The program is in Estonian.

Energy Discovery Centre science theatre play ROPS

ROPS: The Robot Who Knew He Was Human is Aare Baumer’s new philosophical science-fiction production about consciousness, identity and the choices that shape the future.

Robot R has believed his whole life that he is human. Until the moment an AI from the future challenges that belief. One decision changes everything – whether to remain with humans, with emotions and mortality, or to step into the world of machines, where logic and eternity prevail…

Starring Aare Baumer and Merili Viks
Director Aare Baumer
Consultant director Neeme Kuningas
Lighting and sound design Jörgen Sinka

Who is it for?

  • fans of science fiction and artificial intelligence;
  • people interested in thought-provoking and unconventional theatre;
  • those fascinated by questions about human existence and reality;
  • people looking for both a story and a visual and auditory experience.

The play is suitable for ages 8 and up.

Energy Discovery Centre drone football

Drone football takes the gaming experience to a whole new level by combining technology, skill and teamwork. This innovative and fast-paced game is perfect for groups of up to six people. Participants are divided into teams of three, consisting of one attacker and two defenders. The goal is to skilfully guide the attacker drone through the opponent’s ring, while the defenders try to prevent the opposing team from advancing.

Speed, precision and smart teamwork determine the winner. The game challenges both reaction time and strategic thinking.

Suitable for players aged 8 and up.

Hydrogen rocket workshop (TiVo)

Participants will work in teams of 4–5 to build a hydrogen rocket and launch it to see the driving force of hydrogen energy in action. The workshop lasts approximately 45 minutes and is suitable for ages 12 and up. Younger children may join with a parent. A maximum of five teams can participate in the workshop at the same time.

“Rakett69” semi-final challenge

Visitors will tackle a challenge inspired by the semi-finals of the TV show Rakett69, where they must manage energy production and ensure electricity reaches the right place. Two people can take part at a time and each attempt lasts about five minutes. This challenge is suitable for ages 15 and up, including adults.

Rakett69 Science Studio: wind turbine blade challenge

This challenge also originates from the TV show “Rakett69”. Participants are tasked with building the most efficient wind turbine blade and testing how well it performs. The activity is suitable for both young people and adults, and several teams can take part at the same time. The workshop is led by Rakett69 participants who will also share their experience of taking part in the show.

Solaride workshop

In the workshop, participants have to build a wind-powered car as efficiently as possible from the materials provided. The participants’ task is to experiment and put their imagination to the test. At the end of the workshop, a competition will be held to determine the car that travels the furthest. The activity lasts up to 45 minutes and up to 10 groups can take part at a time, with 3–4 people in each group.

Safety training by Electro Rabbit

Why is electricity dangerous? How should we use everyday electrical appliances? Electro Rabbit explains and demonstrates all of this in more detail so that both adults and children can understand how to handle electricity safely.

Virtual tour of the Paldiski Wind Farm and Solar Park

Guide Raimo invites you on a 15-minute virtual tour of the Paldiski Wind Farm and Solar Park, where he explains in simple terms how wind and the sun provide us with energy and what happens inside wind turbines. After the tour, everyone will have the opportunity to ask Raimo questions.

Energy Discovery Centre robotics workshop

Robotics opens the door to a smart and exciting world where technology and creativity come together. In this science session, participants will explore how a robot ‘thinks’ and what strategies and tactics are needed for it to act intelligently and reach its goal.

Participants can test themselves by programming and controlling a robot, and by observing how correct decisions and logical thinking influence its actions. Using a Dash robot, learning becomes playful and interactive, offering both the joy of discovery and a sense of achievement.

Energy Discovery Centre dome planetarium show

The dome planetarium show offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of space right in the heart of Tallinn. The show is led by experienced planetarium presenter Rauno Pilvik, under whose guidance visitors can experience the universe in all its splendour.

Visitors can travel through planets, discover distant galaxies and experience the beauty of the night sky in a whole new way. A special feature of the show is that visitors can choose where the ‘spaceship’ of the Energy Discovery Centre travels next.

Suitable for families, friends and space enthusiasts.

Energy Discovery Centre lightning show

The lightning show is a true classic at the Energy Discovery Centre, filling the air with excitement and making the audience buzz with anticipation. This engaging show highlights the power of lightning and electricity to viewers in a way that is both educational and spectacular.

Dazzling flashes, unexpected effects and exciting experiments create an experience that will stay with you for a long time.

The show is suitable for all those interested.
